Bound by silence and rivaling patience, Shayurei is a Qestir who offers aid to those who have lost their way and need an encouraging nudge. A satin blindfold covers the man's eyes, but his amber eyes, bathed in the power of earth and illuminating fair skin, radiate a sense of timelessness when unveiled. Should a person focus upon the man's gaze, they will see both eyes shake with the inability to focus, a direct consequence of blindness.For those born in the tribe of the Qestiri and those frequenting Reunion, the small xaela holds little tolerance for infighting and false words. While his inability to see offers various challenges, years of grueling training keep Shayurei's perception and observation skills at their peak.

Shayurei is a devoted disciple of Nhaama and a shaman practitioner known through Reunion. His short status makes him an easy target for mockery and dismissal. However, that never bothered the man, for they will eventually come to seek his aid as a healer or as a trusted wood carver and wool felter for children's toys. Initially, his duties to the Qestir Tribe were to be a remarkable hunter, but his path to enlightenment led him to guide and keep his people healthy.-Around a year ago, the man went missing from the Steppe and ended up stranded in Aldenard. His goal initially was to return home. However, certain events have made him temporarily cease attempts to return home to his duties to fulfill a debt he owes. While he appears rather friendly and welcoming, be warned, he is far more dangerous than he seems.

For those born onto the Steppes or who have been to Reunion, this Qestir is known to frequent. He sells woolen felted animals, beautiful wooden carvings, furniture, and toys. Has your character ever bought a felted animal or anything related to wood-crafted art? Shayurei may be your person! Beyond the scope of trading, Shayurei is a respected shaman of the Qestir tribe as a healer and guide. If you are a Qestir who still abides by traditions, this man is more than willing to offer aid in any way he can for his fellow tribe's people. For those who are outcasts of the Qestir tribe, you may approach him, but you may find the reception quite harsh from him compared to people not of the Qestir tribe who talk.

Healer for HireLife in the world of Eorzea is difficult. Not everyone can be trusted. Hardships are a constant way of life in the world. While new to Aldenard, Shayurei offers his healing services to anyone in need.-
Abyssal TaintSomething is unsettling about the auri at times. Whether it is a common occurrence or a rarity, there is something off with this man or whatever he carries on him. The only indication for those who are perceptive enough is the sounds of 'chittering' coming from the man's robes. Whisper me for this, as Shayurei does not always have the little chitter with him._
Dotharl Associate
During Shayurei's travels across the Steppe, he is often accompanied by a tall Dotharl and is under protection. It is odd how a Qestir befriended a violent Dotharl tribe member, but if you are Dotharl and wish to approach him, he is not against making new people from other tribes or being harassed on how he has such a powerful ally.

THEMES
I am a lover of darker and realistic themes, but I also love variety. The one thing that I dislike would be akin to small-talk. While it has its purpose, with Ainsworth, it will not prove to be a good gate way for him to converse. Please keep that in mind when engaging with my character. I mean no offense, but this is something I am wanting to experiment in character variety for myself.On another, final note, I enjoy head canons! It is an excellent way for two characters to interact or even known each other. It also allows us to develop plotpoints for each other and makes conversations less awkward with knowledge well-equipped!
